Whipped yogurt with Nuts and Apples

You can top off your whipped yogurt with anything tasty. I’ve chosen cinnamon apples because they seem perfect for the season. However, this recipe is fully customizable, so if you prefer to use any other fruits, you have absolute freedom!

Serves: 4

½ Cup Heavy cream

1 Cup Plain Greek yogurt

2 Tbsp. Unsalted butter

1 Tbsp. Honey

2 Tbsp. Sugar

2 Semi-hard apples, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

¼ Cup Walnuts, toasted and chopped into rough pieces

¼ Tsp. Ground cinnamon

  1. In a medium-size bowl, combine cream, yogurt and honey. Using a hand mixer, generously beat the mixture until fully thickened.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the apples and 1 tablespoon of sugar to the pan.
  3. Mix well and cook the apples for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Monitor until well softened. As soon as it’s softened, sprinkle the apples with the rest of the cinnamon and sugar and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes. Take off the heat and let stand for about 5 minutes to cool.
  4. For serving, add a generous portion of whipped cream to each bowl. You are free to top with toasted nuts and slightly warm apples.
